Our Story

 In 1969, Jim Pancol opened the doors to Anderson, Indiana's "Dunkin' Donuts." Jim signed a franchise agreement and learned everything from cutting donuts, to operating a 24 hours, 7 days a week donut business. The Shop went through remodels and changes through the years, and when the 30-year franchise renewal came up, Jim did a lot of soul searching as to whether to continue as Dunkin' Donuts or to end their franchise. The decision was made to drop  the franchise and hand over the reins to the next generation. 

 In 1998, Lee and Doreen became the new  owners of the Donut Shop, birthing the name Deluxe Donuts. Lee renegotiated with the suppliers and made minimal changes to the shop, protecting the integrity and quality that had been evident for 30 years.  Their children, Stephanie, Andrew and Alexis have all been active for several years. The grandchildren began working in the shop at the age of 12, continuing to still work every week. Second generation Lee and Doreen, as well  as third generation Stephanie, Andrew and Alexis, have maintained the  quality for a collective 52 years!
